No Orc - all Skaven basecoat

God save the Queen and all that jazz.

Basecoat work on both cloaks and skin for 4 skaven today. Trying my hand at some batch painting.

Got a sore left elbow but started to use another hand grip instead of holding the base and that seems to have helped.

Skaven - complete | Orc - Ribbons

Hello there,

Test Skaven has been completed - very quick job with a lot of drybrushing in the mix.

For the skin, I went talarn flesh, ogryn wash, dwarf then elf. Metal was macharius orange and scorched brown drybrushed on then drybrush of chainmail.

Bindings were the brown colour then washed with ogryn and painted dheneb.

Parchment was ogryn washed then drybrushed with dheneb and white.

Wood was brown + wash then left. The bone details wre treated as per the parchment

think thats about it...

Also basecoated the ribbon on Mr Grimgor Ironhide. Going for a yellow/purple arrangement to match my empire general.

Orc skin - done

not touching it anymore... it is done! (the second or the second last are probably the most representative of what it actually looks like.

Overall it is OK, not exactly blowing myself away.

Skin Almost done

Been away a bit this weekend.

But almost completed the skin and have assembled/undercoated GoT stuff.

Mostly just a lot of washing, ive gone with lots of coats of thin wash instead of one straight on....

Orc Skin, almost there

Quite a bit of work tonight on the skin of the Orc, I just need to wash it with brown and green, not sure if separate or all green then a targeted brown...

Looking much more dynamic now I reckon... lots of pictures.
